Insurance and payment
Most extended health plans include physiotherapy. Check your coverage amount and whether your plan requires a referral.
Is physiotherapy covered by insurance?
Most of our services, including general physiotherapy, pelvic floor physiotherapy, TMJ physiotherapy and Physio Pilates, are eligible under standard extended health physiotherapy benefits. You will receive a receipt from a registered physiotherapist for every visit. Confirm your coverage amount with your provider before your first visit.
Do you direct bill to insurance?
No, we don’t direct bill. You pay at your visit and receive a detailed receipt from a registered physiotherapist to submit to your extended health plan for reimbursement.
How much is Physio Pilates, and is it covered?
Physio Pilates sessions are priced the same as physiotherapy follow-ups: $125 for 30 minutes or $200 for 60 minutes. A physiotherapy session followed by Physio Pilates, back to back, is $250 for the hour. Sessions are covered under all physiotherapy benefits plans.
Is acupuncture covered?
Yes. Acupuncture is performed by a registered physiotherapist during your session and billed as physiotherapy.
Do I need a doctor’s referral to book physiotherapy?
No. Physiotherapists in Ontario are primary health care providers, so you can book directly online without a referral. Some insurance plans ask for one before they reimburse, so it is worth checking your plan.
Ready to feel better?
Book online in under two minutes. No referral needed, and most extended health plans cover your visits.
